Rural Process UnJAM 2035 was adopted by the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) in May 2009. However with the MPO representing a small portion of the Planning District, focus is now being shifted to include all areas of our region. The UnJAM 2035 Rural Addition provides a closer look at the transportation needs and opportunities of the rural areas of the Thomas Jefferson Planning District. This is defined as the entirety of Greene, Louisa, Fluvanna, and Nelson counties, and sections of Albemarle County not part of the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO). If this includes you, we need your help in identifying and evaluating all facets of your transportation system. We are seeking endorsements of the plan from each of the governing bodies in the planning district by December of 2009. The public participation process begins right now if you’d like to submit a comment online. Otherwise we’ll be out to hear from you at any of these events:
Are there any intersections or roads you feel are particularly dangerous? Use the comment box below to submit any questions or comments about the UnJAM 2035 Project. |
